    The CCIP 2016 is second in the line of series of International conferences on Cognitive Computing and Information Processing domain being held in India. The first conference CCIP 2015 was held at JSSATE – Noida during March 2015. Cognitive Computing and Information Processing is a multi-disciplinary research field that addresses the development of Intelligent Systems inspired by the Cognitive Science and Neuropsychology to implement brain like mechanism for better learning, reasoning and engaging. Development of such systems helps in addressing problems across different fields like Computational Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, System Sciences, Cognitive Robotics, Knowledge Engineering, Neuroscience and Informatics. This conference aims at bringing researchers, graduate students, practitioners from industry to report and review current progress in the field of Cognitive Computing and Information Processing.

    CCIP 2016 is jointly hosted by the departments of Information Science & Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Master of Computer Applications, SJCE, Mysuru.

    Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engineering, was established in the year 1963, by His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalu, the 23rd pontif of Sri Suttur Mutt. It comes under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The Institution serves as one of the major landmarks of the western part of mysuru city, with its sprawling 117 acres of campus. SJCE is one of the top ranking technical institutions in the state of Karnataka, and has earned distinctions for its quality technical education and research. SJCE is one of the leading institutions in the country to receive World Bank assisted grants TEQIP, under which  32 crores has been received from Phase I & Phase II. The institution has 12 under graduate programmes, 14 post graduate programmes and doctoral programmes in all branches of engineering. The college recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee during 2014.

    SJCE is governed by the grant-in-aid rules of the government of Karnataka. SJCE is one of the units of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which is being headed by Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the 24th Pontif of Suttur Mutt.

    The Departments of IS, CS and MCA have a strong research presence in the area of Soft Computing and Machine Learning. SJCE is looking forward to host CCIP 2016.

Mysuru is well connected by rail and road from Bengaluru – IT Capital of India. One can reach Mysuru by using public transports such as train or bus and also can hire a cab.
